We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour, an excellent alternative to the classic Rainbow Mountain. This destination is located in the Vilcanota Mountain Range, in the district of Pitumarca, at 4,900 m.a.s.l.
Along the journey, you will enjoy impressive Andean landscapes with views of mountains, rivers, and local communities. In Cusipata, we will stop to enjoy a buffet breakfast, and then continue to Checacupe, where we will visit its three historic bridges: Inca, colonial, and republican—perfect spots for photographs.
Afterward, we continue to Palccoyo, the starting point of the hike. The ascent is gentle and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, ideal for those seeking a more accessible experience.
During the walk, we will visit three natural viewpoints from where you can admire the colorful mountains, the Ausangate snow-capped peak, the Red Valley, and optionally explore the Stone Forest, a remarkable geological formation that complements this impressive landscape.
After free time for photos and sightseeing, we return to Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch with typical regional dishes.
Finally, we head back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 17:00. The service ends at Plaza Regocijo, one block from the Main Square.
