Terms and Conditions

We recommend reading all the information before confirming your reservation.

Policies applicable to tours contracted individually

Applicable before, during and after service:

  • Any passenger who occupies a seat and/or uses the food service on any of our tours, including minors, must pay the cost corresponding to the service.
  • It is the passenger’s responsibility to appear punctually at the place and time indicated for the start of the tour. A maximum tolerance of 10 minutes is contemplated. After this time, ITURA PERU Travel Agency assumes no responsibility for the impossibility of providing the service.
  • The passenger’s non-attendance at the meeting point will be considered a “No Show”, which implies the total loss of the service with no option for a refund.
  • If the passenger decides to voluntarily withdraw or not continue with the service once it has started, no refund is due.
  • ITURA PERU will not be responsible when the passenger does not follow the guide’s instructions, leaves the group or continues the tour by his or her own decision.
  • The company may make adjustments to the order of the itinerary or excursions for operational, climatic, logistical or force majeure reasons (flights, trains, buses, natural conditions), always prioritizing the adequate development of the experience.
  • In case of suspension of the tour due to weather conditions or external factors beyond the control of the company, the passenger will be offered an alternative equivalent to the value paid, subject to availability of dates within their stay. If this is not possible, no refund is contemplated.
  • The care of luggage and personal belongings is the exclusive responsibility of the passenger throughout the tour.
  • No refunds will be made for previously reserved and unused services, such as transportation, accommodation, food, tickets or excursions.
  • The activities, tickets and excursions included in the service are not transferable or exchangeable for other services.
  • Once the tour has ended, ITURA PERU does not assume responsibility for situations after the end of the service.
1. Reservation Deposit

To confirm any tour package with ITURA PERU, an initial deposit of 70% of the total cost per person is required.

This payment secures.

  • Official admission tickets (especially for Machu Picchu)
  • Train tickets
  • Hotels
  • Transportation and operational logistics

Payment can be made using any of the payment methods listed on our website under the “Payment Methods” section.

You must contact one of our advisors directly via WhatsApp before making any payment.

2. Payment of the Remaining Balance

The remaining 30% must be paid on the first day of your arrival in Cusco, at:

  • Cash (Soles or Dollars at the current exchange rate), or
  • Card/payment link (7% commission applies for use of payment platform).
3. Airline Tickets Handled by the Agency

ITURA PERU can assist with the purchase of airline tickets, which require full payment at the time of issuance.

Any changes, rescheduling, or cancellations are subject exclusively to the airline’s policies. The agency may provide assistance but is not responsible for the airline’s operational decisions, weather-related delays, technical failures, strikes, or airport regulations.

4. Cancellations and Refunds of the Deposit
  • Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance: We will consider refunding the deposit, minus any expenses already incurred (tickets, trains, hotels, or other confirmed services).
  • Date changes: The deposit may be carried over as a credit for 12 months, minus any services already purchased.
  • Cancellations made 30 days or less in advance: No refund will be issued.
5. Transfer to Ollantaytambo (Bimodal Service)

ITURA PERU provides private transportation from your hotel to the boarding point for the combined bus-and-train service.

From that point on, it is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure they board the train as indicated by the railway company. In the event that the passenger misses the train, the agency may assist with an alternative solution at an additional cost.

6. Tickets to Machu Picchu and Train Tickets

We verify availability before payment. Once the deposit is received, we proceed with the purchase immediately.

Important:

  • Tickets to Machu Picchu are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-changeable.
  • Train tickets may be subject to schedule changes, but are non-refundable in the event of trip cancellation.
7. Traveler Documentation and Information

The passenger must provide a copy of:

  • Passport / DNI / Andean ID

Important requirements:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Valid entry permit for Machu Picchu
  • If a foreign passenger stays in Peru for more than 60 days, they must pay an 18% VAT in accordance with Peruvian law
  • Travel insurance is recommended
  • Please disclose any pre-existing medical conditions

ITURA PERU reserves the right to restrict services if a passenger’s condition poses a risk.

8. Other Tourist Tickets and Admission Tickets

Admission to archaeological sites and natural attractions (except Machu Picchu) may:

  • Be included in the package, or
  • Be paid for directly at the destination

Once purchased, they are non-refundable.

9. Tours Privados y Compartidos
  • Group tours: up to 18 passengers
  • Private tours: completely personalized
10. Cancellations Due to External Factors (Weather, Strikes, Roadblocks)

ITURA PERU is not liable for cancellations caused by:

  • Strikes
  • Protests
  • Roadblocks
  • Natural disasters
  • Extreme weather conditions

Operational adjustments will be made whenever possible, but no refunds will be issued for reasons beyond the agency’s control.

11. ITURA PERU’s Commitment

Our commitment is your safety, satisfaction and an authentic, responsible and well-organized experience. Once our travel proposal has been accepted, you will be required to make a deposit of 70% of the package cost to cover the associated operational expenses: train tickets, Machu Picchu admission, and hotels.

You must send a copy of the transfer receipt to your travel advisor. The remaining 30% of your package must be paid on the first day of your trip upon arrival in Cusco, before your tours begin.

You may make this payment in cash or by card (+7% surcharge).
